Wok tossed Okra

I first tasted and also  got this recipe from Chef Salin during my visit to The Gateway, Calicut.
I thought of using this recipe to impress my friend Z with the presentation 🙂
On a serious note, I cooked this for Z mainly due to the goodness of Okra and for the delicious recipe.
The receipe is very healthy, light and refreshing as an starter.

Ingredients
Okra – washed, wiped dry, remove the stems at the end.
Chopped onions
Chopped garlic
Chopped celery
Chopped spring onions
Chopped coriander
Soya sauce
Salt to taste

Sautee the okra in oil with a little soya sauce.
In another pan sautée the vegetables with little soya sauce and 2 tbsp of vegetable stock or water, until brown.
Once the vegetables are done I lightly mixed the sautéed okra into it for 5 mins or so.
Arrange the okra and the veggies in a plate and serve hot.

Thankfully Z did enjoy the Wok tossed Okra.

Cool recipe!! I find that I need huge quantities of oil to fry the okra in. Otherwise it tastes kind of raw.
    Will try this out 🙂
